Title: Alan Payne Introduction
Post by: AlanPy on Sep 26, 2016, 18:04:57
What a keen and friendly society!   We are greatly looking forward to joining you on an observing night and at the next monthly meet and talk. Nigel Blackman will be joining the society and hopefully Roland Vincent and Peter Meinertzhagen will come along at some point and perhaps join.  We have several quality binoculars and telescopes with suitable mounts, polar mounts and  a "go to" and also some RF receiving equipment that turns in a good number of pulsars.  All four of us are involved in engineering and electronics in one way or another and are interested in astronomy space missions and space hardware and will even have a go at the math's too :) albeit with no guarantee of success.  We are little more than beginners and are still stumbling our way through the constellations and asterisms but nonetheless have seem some amazing sights and learned some amazing things to date.  See you all soon!
