Title: Mars Saturday Night 4 June
Post by: MarkS on Jun 05, 2016, 02:16:24
Here is Mars caught in the clear sky before the murkiness descended.

Altair GP-Cam on Celestron C11 with x2 Barlow.  5000 frames stacked out of 10000 at 30 frames/sec.

This side of Mars is a bit more interesting than the previous one I posted.  With only 17 deg of altitude above the horizon, Mars is badly placed this year.

Yes I think it's working quite well.  The only annoyances are that FireCapture doesn't support the Altair cameras and that the camera doesn't write Y800 format directly so it needs to be passed through PIPP to generate a file that AutoStakkert can read.

Yes, the 130 colour.  I think they are also just bringing out another with an even better sensor.
