Looks excellent. Is that the Californian Nebula also in the picture?
A rare image from Whitters!

Great perspective.

Hi Mark, yes it is the California nebulae. I only managed to get a couple of decent images as the lens kept dewing up. The dew heaters are in the observatory and I can't open the roof with my broken wrist. So I used my 30 year old Super Polaris mount to drive the camera and Jeanette's hair dryer to clear the lens between shots.
Excellent, love the nebula, a real bonus. There may be a bit of deja vu when I process my last nights subs!
Great photo. So many stars. Lots of detail. :)
Hi Paul,
Great image & nice to see a picture from you - the first in a while.. Lovely composition as well...

Broken wrist?! How did you manage that? Hope you make a quick recovery.
I got my own hair dryer as a Christmas present to live in the observatory :)

I broke my scaphoid in my left hand back in October when I fell off my bike. But I didn't realise it was broken until the end of November. Its been in a cast since then. I'm waiting on my CT scan results.
Sorry to hear that Paul, I hope you're fully recovered soon. At leat you've managed to get a good images, hope that wasn't too painful.
Mark, I didn't figure you as the hairdresser type !

As Robert said, having become a hairdresser is Dee making you live in the observatory? I think we should be told.
