Title: Moon Sat 1 Nov 2014
Post by: MarkS on Nov 05, 2014, 00:53:12
This is far from being my best moon - the seeing was pretty dire so the image is a bit soft even after sharpening.

Canon 600D on Celestron C11 with 0.8x TS flattener.  Mosaic of 2 parts.

The moon is always a fascinating target but I had a night of frustration with one of the dewheaters blowing fuses and finally blowing up the dew controller.  That lovely fried smell of cooked electronics!

The dewheater resistance measured zero so I stripped the dewheater completely apart and now can't find the short circuit so I'm guessing it was in the cable somewhere.

That's really quite nice Mark, I really like the exposure level, nice detail.
