That's looking good Fay. I like the bokeh on the brighter stars, a real sparkle!
Nice image Fay
thanks. hopefully ccolour will follow asap!!!!!!!!
Nice work, Faye. That's some good glass you have there...do you have any mechanical aids to achieve critical focus, or do you turn the focussing collar by hand?
Also, when you say 15x600 and 7x1200, did conditions not allow 1200 second exposures, or are you using the shorter ones to try to retain detail in the brighter portions of the nebula?
Finally (well, at least for now!), what sort of exposure will you use for the OIII images?
Hello Roger. it is a good lens made in Canada, for the navy. i have to manually focus and select the settings. well I just happened to do 600 secs first time around and then did 1200 and added them all together. OIII i will probably do 600 sec exposures.
After the OIII, will you be using an SII filter for the Hubble palette?
No will do bi colour, see how I go
Very nice. You've captured some subtle variations in there.
Mark
Thanks Mark
Great FOV Fay. Lots more extended nebulosity than I can recall having seen in other images of the CN.
Carole
thanks Carole
nice Fay - very milky...
ive done a bit more processing on it now, so little more defined on FB
Good start Fay :)
Thanks Robert, i have processed a bit more since that picture, a bit sharper
