Anyone else been playing with software defined radio recently?

Yeah, i've been using a DVB-T stick to pick up 1090MHz flight ADS-B signals.

Same thing I picked up, I just need to make an aerial array now to get the best out of it, pretty cool though, was well impressed with the SDR# software.

No but it seems like a really neat idea.  What are you intending to use it for ?

Ah, well apart from I like playing with radio's the weather is crap so I was going to get a satellite dish and try to measure the galactic rotation.  Don't need clear skies for this, and also some planetary radio work.

I just need to setup a large ish dish in the garden.
