For those who don't know there is a project underway to develop an Open Source version of PHD. I have been using PHD 2.0.4a (alpha 4) and it works fine with my QHY5 and EQMOD. I have just installed 2.0.5a. I believe they are close to a proper release after rewriting a lot of the code especially the camera handling. There are now a lot more options in the Brain and 2.0.5a improves image display (it says). Development of Craig Stark's version has just about stopped.
The project is here (https://code.google.com/p/open-phd-guiding/).
Get PHD2 here (https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=en&fromgroups#!topic/open-phd-guiding/DFYTH5V1_4U).
That's great news. About time it was updated.
PHD 2 Alpha 1 has been released (http://www.daddog.com/phd2/openphd2).
I have been using PHD 2 exclusively for a while now and it does what it needs too very well. Worth the change over. The functionality and interface aren't a lot different, there are a lot more options in the Brain. The guiding image is a lot cleaner with my QHY5 which is quite a noisy camera.
