Title: Two frame Solar mosaic
Post by: RobertM on Jun 18, 2013, 22:55:56
I did this using the Lunt LS60 and a ASI120MM CMOS imager.  It was a devil of a job registering the two images but in the end I used PI to increase the canvas size, MaximDL for alignment then mosaic merge back in PI.  Now I know how to do it I'll try processing a couple of others.  There is a bit of a focus issue but it seemed not to sharpen up to badly.

And yes the frame really was that tight !

I've had it for about 9 months so I think it's well disconnected from our awful weather!

No, that sounds like a silly idea for a hobby here in the UK.  Especially now the Met Office are predicting a whole decade of cloud cover.
