Title: PTFE Grease
Post by: RobertM on Oct 25, 2012, 13:57:32
Anyone have any of either 'Finish Line' Teflon grease or the 'Super Lube' PTFE equivalent ?  I need a little to re-grease the outside of the central baffle on my C11.

Many thanks
Robert

I used Dow Corning Vacuum Grease, doesn't give off any fumes ever and it's very temperature stable. It's cured my mirror flop, can't even see any when using a 2x barlow and webcam. Miracle.

I have some left...

Vacuum Grease?
Have you evacuated all the air from inside your scope?  I guess it prevents air currents in the tube.
