My first attempt at this object.
Done over 2 nights, Friday 25th and a further almost 2 hours when I arrived at 12.30 am on the Saturday evening (or should I say Sunday morning).
32 x 5mins Modified Canon 450D (no filter), ED120
NEQ6, Guided with PHD and QHY5
DSS and PS CS3
Cocked up the darks on the 2nd night and accidentally took 3mins instead of 5mins, so couldn't use them.

Carole that is a really lovely Iris. perfect guiding
Thanks Fay, I was quite pleased with it as I always heard it is such a difficult one to capture as it is so faint, and so wasn't sure what sort of result to expect.
Carole
Looking good Carole (perhaps a bit pale) - I must try this with the 314.. John
Thanks John,
Having some problems with colour recently (see other thread), but wasn't quite sure what colour it was supposed to be anyway.
Carole
Well I always just go on Google images & see what colours everyone else does it. I think more blue & less red with your image - but that might just be me....
Cheers, John
Yes I did actually go onto the internet, and from what I could see the colour seemed OK. I can't see any red in the image at all and it seems well balanced in the info palette. So I'm a bit confused.
Carole
Carole,
That's a very tough target but you've got some good data there.
I agree with your comment about colours - something is not quite right in the processing sequence.
Mark
Thanks Mark, yes DSS is starting to give me some problems as per the other post.
Carole
Following some comments made on another forum I have given this a bit of a tweak.
Hope this is slightly better, but it's still horribly Jpegged:
