Title: Mars at March DSC
Post by: MarkS on Apr 15, 2012, 19:37:31
Here is Mars from the last DSC - Sat 24 March 2012.

Celestron C11 with Imaging Source DBK 21AU04.AS Colour Camera and Mike's TeleVue x3 adapter (thanks Mike!).

1800 frames at 7 frames/sec processed in Registax.  The seeing was OK but not particularly good.

Yep nice image but I can see  weird stuff as well - a double halo, the outer one is less prominent on the left.

Something about this laptop that shows up the unintended.
Must calibrate the monitor.

At a frame rate of 1/7th per second I'm surprised you got it that clear, well done.

Here's one I did earlier...  I should do some planetary again some time.

The halo is a deconvolution artifact  :(
