Bought a 2nd hand PST a few weeks ago and have been trying it out during the day at SGL7 Camp.
Need a lot of practice to get this right and I wonder whether the SPC9000 is good enough to get better detail, or whether I should just use a barlow and do a mosaic. I tried very hard (with a wobbling surface) but don't think I got the focus quite right.
Anyway - results so far.

I also got a Prominence:
N.B. The left 3 blobs I think are dust, I'll re-post when I get home with them processed out, but lots of upload failures with the wifi which keeps dropping out etc and can't face trying to upload the correct one again. Also I'll change the colour of the one with the prominence)

Hi Carole,
The focus look OK to me. The Filaments are showing up nicely and you can see a prominence on the top image showing the surface details.. The prominence is the same one I shot yesterday. I used a 2x Barlow which seemed the best. it is a huge feature.
Do you think it is OK then Paul?
I'll try a barlow next time I think.
Carole
I had found a site giving details on solar image processing. Can't find it at the mo, i'll send it on once I find it.
Thanks Paul
