I have just had a "go" at a spot of imaging of the conjunction of Venus and Jupiter. Below is the result:-

First try.... so hopefully I can improve
Doug.
Good shot Doug. Every time you have a go it gets better.
My planets have come out rugby ball shaped as I used too long an exposure. Note the Heathrow take off flight path! (Don't mean to hijack but it seems silly to start another thread for the same subject). ;)

Good shot Doug ;)
Not bad at all, Doug.
So what happens? March 13th was the closest conjunction of the two planets......... and it`s bloody cloudy.
Ain`t that TYPICAL!!
What a !"£$%^&*!!!
Doug. :!
Blame Radio 4. They had a long item about it on the "Today" programme yesterday morning...
And it was on the ITV news with a bod outside Greenwich Obs. Bound to cause a major cloudup.
Was clear at my place.... They really were not that close together.
It's all hype - the only people interested are the astrologers.
Last week it was hype about the Coronal Mass Ejection from the sunspot heading straight for us but it ended up being the "wrong" polarity so had almost no effect.
Well done Doug. i have yet to do this!! my list is getting too long!
