Title: Resizing multiple pictures
Post by: Ivor on Feb 27, 2012, 17:12:05
I have a batch of over 200 jpegs which I need to shrink down so I put them on the web. I tried to use Nebulosity but it kept crashing, does anyone know of an application that can batch resize jpgs?

These are non astro images, so framing isn't an issue.

Cheers

Is this something you have used? I'd googled a few but with all freeware it's about personally recommendation.

If you have access to photoshop why not create a droplet.

create an action to resize your photo and save it in a folder on your desk top.

then from one of the menus (cant remember which one) create a droplet from the resize action,
and save it on your desktop.

Then put the 200 images into a folder on the desktop and drag the folder onto the droplet,
have a cup of tea and photoshop will resize all of the images and put them in the new folder.

There are loads of info regarding creating droplets, just google them.

Mac.

I've not heard of droplets before, this sounds perfect.

Thanks

IrfanView, use the batch mode. Zillions of users and I've been using it for years.
