Post by: MarkS on Feb 20, 2012, 23:57:26
Leo Triplet last night.  Here's a quick pre-process.

62 x 5min at ISO 800.  H-alpha modified Canon 350D on Tak Epsilon 180ED with IR/UV filter only.

SQM-L reading (at zenith) was 20.9 (nearly as good as Saturday's imaging event) which translates into a naked eye limiting mag of just over 6.0
Temperature fell from -1C to -5C during imaging.
Guiding accuracy 0.22 pixels RMS using QHY5 at 300mm on EQ6 mount.

That's a great image Mark.
Superb detail.
Composition is also good with you using the rule of thirds with the galaxies.

That looks lovely Mark, plenty of detail in those galaxies.
