On one of the rare times I sit in front of the TV I discovered the PBS channel and they have a really intersting programme on John Dobson details here http://www.sidewalkastronomers.us/id18.html (http://www.sidewalkastronomers.us/id18.html). It looks a little old but an interesting programme about the man and what he thinks.
I found the channel on SKY but I understand it's Freeview in the states, so it might be accessable via other provider or freeview.
