I had a problem with this one, regarding darks & so i did not use any. I removed about 2,000 hot pixels in shifts!!!
28/12/11 21x600, QSI 583ws/Leitz lens @ F3.4, 7nm ha.
I wanted to get the HH in various ways, so this is number two. I also want to use a DSLR/SW120

Fay,
This is excellent, and a lovely FOV.............................................and it's in Mono. ;)

Very nice! The Horsehead has always been my favorite.
Good FOV and you've captured the dust rather well.
Mark
thankyou.
it could do with a crop at the top, but i am thinking they are the orions belt stars, so left them in
Ditto, very nice
Why problems with darks ?
I thought with the QSI you could do them with your feet up in front of the fire
when i took the lights & flats they came out at 3292x2504, for what reason i dont know. the library darks are the correct size of 3326x2504.
So, i went into Maxim & did a new lot of darks, just for these subs, and they dont match up.
I took the lights & flats with Astroart & the new darks with Maxim.
I dont know why the darks wont work, as library darks are done at a different time.
I took them at the same temperature, but have big black specks everywhere.
Very good detail Fay, strange about the darks, did the flats work OK though?

How did you do that Fay?
I like the full frame with the belt stars, puts it in context.

Like it a lot, unusual field orientation.
