im going to have a play with on of the m42's

I like the increase in contrast, but it's now looking a bit noisy round the edges.

It would be interesting to see an image processed from scratch with and without the workflow thingy

I prefer the original to be honest. It is less noisy and the colours are more 'natural'.

I think you've pushed it much too far.  The fainter areas are far too noisy to be emphasized that much.

I decided to have a go myself but not using Photoshop.
It's fun playing with someone else's good data!

yes i agree it is noisy, but it was only a 5min play to see what could be achieved..
