[BAA-ebulletin 00597]  Solar Section - BBSO Activity Warning
(c) 2011 British Astronomical Association -- http://www.britastro.org/

BBSO have sent out a high solar activity warning. AR1260 is just about to rotate over the western limb but AR1261 and AR1263 will remain for a further few days. Both regions are extremely active and observers are requested to monitor in white light and H-alpha. The BBSO activity warning is reproduced below giving a forecast of flare activity:

Solar activity continues at a high level and is expected to remain at a high level. NOAA 11261 remains mostly unchanged from yesterday. The region produced a M9.3 event at 03:41UT and six C-class events so far today. Region is expected to continue to produce C-class events and M-class events. NOAA 11263 has grown slightly from yesterday. Expect C-class events to continue with the chance for M-class events.

NOAA 11260, N18W71(X=851,Y=260) Beta region.

NOAA 11261, N16W46(X=655,Y=193) Beta-gamma-delta region.

NOAA 11263, N17W15(X=234,Y=184) Beta-gamma-delta region.

Positions are for August 4,2011 at 15:30UT.
