Title: M31 Andromeda Galaxy from Rother Valley (Reprocessed)
Post by: Carole on Jul 10, 2011, 20:31:22
I managed to find a bit of time to do a re-process of this before I go off on holiday.

I hope this is a bit better than the quick first process in my other thread.  I am happier with the core although it could still be a little smaller, and there is more colour this time, plus I have posted the full frame.  Don't think I'm going to get much more out of this at only 12 x 5mins.  Definitely going to add more data to this.

The core looks a lot smoother and there's loads more detail in the foreground dust lane but the outer spiral seems a bit subdued compared to the original.
Still nice though.

You're right.  This is the benefit of having lots of pairs of eyes to examine these things.
