Title: Synscan HELP!!

Synscan is saying "no link to MC" stand alone mode.

Has anyone a clue what it means please?

Have you plugged guide plug into handset socket, or something similar ?

No the handset says initialising and i can put date etc in but it was ok last time i used it. I wonder if I can try the eq5 handset?

Tested the handset on Mark's mount. Tried different combinations of cable & handset. As EQMOD moved my mount, it is now assumed the handset is at fault. I did a firmware update, which worked ok, but handset is still the same.

Thanks to Bern, Modern Astronomy, who I bought it off, he is getting a replacement handset from OV. This is when it pays to order from reliable sources.
