Title: NGC4565 Flying Saucer Galaxy in Coma Berenice
Post by: Fay on Apr 07, 2011, 19:10:05
After a slow start with the usual problems.

11x600, SW120 QSI 583, 0.8 fr, L filter, cls filter. I did 4 more subs but guiding started to go off as I reached the meridian.

I am going to use the Atik for galaxies, so will put the L, RGB filters into the wheel  & use the QSI for nebulae, as I intended, with 7nm Ha filter, O and S

lovely image Fay - excellent detail, focus & processing. Any chance you can post a full size crop of just the galaxy.

Great image, Fay. There's some very nice detail there. You've also got NGC4562

This all reminds me of France go away for a week come back and then image, Keilling has the same effect?

Fay, would you mind if I pointed the 8" at that tonight, I think I have about twice the FL as you so it would be bigger, or does anyone know of a nice dust laney galaxy to image?

Chris
