Title: IC63 & 59 Phantom nebula in Cass.

Again was not expecting much, as full moon, was practicing EQMOD again.

11x600, Atik 314l, ha, 0.8 flattener, Skywatcher ED80.

PS...........I see APOD is at it again, isn't today's image, very similar to yours from DSC. :o

It looks like the full moon Tony!!!!!

APOD is SLIGHTLY better quality than mine!!! :lol:

That's really lovely Fay, especially considering the full moon.

My only comment would be that there are perhaps a few too many haloes.

Yes , the haloes are bad. Prompted me to get a Baader 7nm filter, which arrived today

Wow, Fay, that's really not one to be doing on a full moon, very faint indeed!

You've resolved the nebulosity wonderfully, Haloes are a little strong, but then Gamma Cassiopeiae is a really bright star, so managing it is a nightmare, reminds me of imaging near Alnitak.

Always good to have a practise. Although it is best to do ha under a full moon, you can still see the quality is not quite there, other thans Roberts wide field  :)

I see Ian King is charging £115 for that filter when you can get it for about £30 less elsewhere.

£96 is the going rate, if you order from First Light Optics then you'd most likely have got a 10% discount for SGL membership...
