Title: Jupiter 19 Sep 2010
Post by: MarkS on Sep 20, 2010, 20:56:05

Taken in Riberac last night - this is just a preview processed using an underpowered laptop.

Philips SPC900NC on Celestron C11 with 2x Barlow at 5 frames/sec.
700 frames processed in Registax.

South is up but I've realised (too late) it needs to be flipped left/right.

Hi Mark,

Not one of your best, is the weather unstable there at the moment....

Yep - the stars were straight out of a kids' nursery rhyme: "Twinkle, twinkle ..."

I'd reduce the plate scale by two. I don't think you'll lose any detail and it'll look better :)
