Title: Jupiter tonight?
Post by: MarkS on Aug 31, 2010, 08:35:32

Forecast tonight is clear skies with good seeing.

Time to get the C11 out and train it upon Jupiter - especially since there's a red spot transit at 23:08 BST tonight.

I did train the MN190 on it a few nights ago and have a look visually.  Even though it was very low (just reappeared from behind a chimney) it was awe inspiring even with so much turbulence.  All I need now is a replacement C11 OTA to turn up and that's not happening fast :(

I would like to have had a go at the Moon, but think it comes up a bit late, must conserve my energy 8)
