I took this over the latter part of last week. The skies started off not too bad but ended up about mag 3-3.5; consequently the background ADU level was over 800 with over half the subs being too bright to use. As you can see it was a tight fit getting the faint outer shell and southern extensions in.

Robert
very nice, so much detail in that shell.
Mac.
That's a great image, Robert
Very nice Robert, difficult getting the exposure times right with the fine wispy bits & then the more solid very bright parts
Thanks guys.

Fay, do you mean the processing ?
Yes
Very nice Robert, just need the O3 and SII now :-)
Fantastic wide field.
Robert, was not criticising. It was just that I found it hard to process mine because of the contrasting opaqueness of the nebula.
Fantastic image Robert - very nice FOV and good depth in the faint areas.
I hope you're going to turn this into a colour image -it'll be stunning.

Another marvellous image from the Robert Imaging Association. That is worthy of the next OAS calendar and it ought to go into the Sky at Night Magazine as well.
Brilliant stuff, mate; keep up the good work. :)
Doug ... who deletes his first good image of the crescent moon from Kelling.

Check your bin. Might still be there,
Or failing that have a look at this software to recover files.
