Title: NGC6888 Ha O3 and Blue
Post by: Rocket Pooch on Jul 10, 2010, 15:43:55
Hi,

Ok this is the 1st of the batch of NGC6888 representations I can now complete, this is fully calibrated with Bias and Darks, no need for flats here.  The image consists of;

Ha (red) 16x20 Minute 1x1, taken over 3 nights
O3 (green) 10x20 Minute 1x1, another night
Blue 12x5 Minute 1x1, another night

Ha and O3 Sigma scaled, blue Log scaling, RGB combined in Photoshop.

Telescope ED80, SW Dedicated Field Flattener, TS OAG guided using a QHY6.

Acquisition and guiding in astro art, I also have some Green and Red as well :-)

There is a little noise and star bloating, but I'll fix that later.

That is coming along nicely Chris. Nice guiding . I must get a 7x filter wheel, which may encourage me to get my O3 SII out.

Chris,

That is looking very good - I like the high resolution version especially, it has great detail and very round stars.  The O3 "envelope" around the Crescent is quite good.

I think it will be a interesting problem combining all those channels in one image but I'm looking forward to the final result.

Optically, that SW focal reducer has given a very good stars out to the corners of your CCD.
