Title: Moon...
Post by: RobertM on Feb 22, 2010, 22:51:49
Took this with the Canon 450D and SW 190MN with the replacement Moonlite focuser.  It's incredible that they supplied the scope with such a crappy unit to start with.

A single shot at ISO400 1/120s

Original resolution (cropped to 1611 x 2450) converted to mono and slight sharpening in MaximDL.

Hey!  First light from your Mak-Newtonian!

The moon certainly did look good on Saturday night.

I'm looking forward to more pics from that scope.

I will obviously have to get my finger out regarding Orion collimation, correct spacers etc ect etc, if we ever have a run of good nights!

Yep, first light with the chip orthogonal.  The collimation was a bit of a guess but it's the best it's been and is nearly spot on.

About time  :)  It should give you exceptional results...
