Title: The Wall
Post by: MarkS on Jul 28, 2009, 23:20:48

The Wall in NGC 7000 last night (27 July 2009).

Conditions were not ideal in Sidcup - a lot of frames had wispy cloud passing through, but I used them anyway.

20 x 5minute exposures.  Modified Canon EOS350D on Celestron C11 with F6.3 reducer and Astronomik CLS filter.
Stacked, 3x3 binned and alightly cropped in IRIS.  Mild deconvolution applied.

I'm relatively pleased with this but it needs quite a lot more data to reduce the noise and bring out the detail.

Fantastic image Mark, perfect rounds stars as always and like the crop makes the wall look like a whole other nebula! can't wait to see it with more subs

That's an excellent start Mark.  It's going to need a lot of subs to bring out the detail but the dark lanes are starting to show really well already.
