Title: Lunar Chill
Post by: A.S.I.G.N_Baz on Jul 08, 2009, 14:58:55
I was watching the temperature plummet to below zero and noticed the lovely ice crystal halo forming around the moon, as well as the action of the upper jetstreams effect on the high cloud.

I thought it would look nice in some icy colours so I got creative with the hue and saturation.

Canon 400D
18mm F3.5
ISO 200
20 seconds on tripod
Manual release cable

Might make a nice wallpaper...

Feel free.

Baz,

Can I ask what is emitting that light, and what are the small points of light also in this image.
Why are there no clouds when you point you camera skywards.  :D
