Title: 5.75 hours of Eagle Nebula
Post by: A.S.I.G.N_Baz on Apr 25, 2009, 02:56:00
I have been gathering fifteen-minute subs of M16 for the past week, to add to the first lot I captured a week ago.

Here is a total of 5.75 hours

I tell ya, it is well worth the effort and a visible difference when you take the time to create darks and flats for subtraction, plus the extra subs. Really.

Baz.

Thanks Fay.

I think by stretching it so much to bring out the fainter outlying areas, I forgot to keep an eye on the histogram and the colours are off.

I ran them all through Deep Sky Stacker to see what that would do, and paid greater attention to colour balance.(http://i40.tinypic.com/15p60de.jpg)
