Title: M101 LRGB Processed (well until I recalibrate my monitor)
Post by: Rocket Pooch on Mar 28, 2009, 10:23:39
Hi,

Had another go at M101 from Lydd, I think the colours are a lot better, there is a gradient caused by my flats, odd eh, but its a start and to be honest my best 101 to date, I will post just the L soon its now cool and well structured.

Great image Chris, and no sign of the Narnia street lamp.

looks a lot better... Did you use the technique I told you about for balancing colours?

Wow!! Huge improvement. That is really nice Chris.

I can see at least 6 other galaxies in that image too.

What I did was an LLRGB and then saturated the background to 50% in photoshop, and did the trick you showed me, all seemed to work.

Definite improvement Chris.  You captured the faint arms well and also a fair amount of detail.  Nice one!

It makes me want to have a go at this myself.
