I glad you liked it. He is a nice bee, they are getting a bit rare at the moment.
It was taken with the Nikon Coolpix 4500. I originally bought the camera for Moon images etc, but diverted. It has a good macro setting. Every time I tried to get the bee in a good position it flew off.

The difficulty with the Nikon is the small viewing area & most of the time because of reflection you cannot see wht you are getting so have to guess.

The macro facility is very good on those cameras as demonstrated by the stunning close up detail you've achieved.

It's also a very rare type of tulip!
