Title: Mars, version 2
Post by: Ian on Aug 13, 2003, 02:02:00
tried again. seeing was still poor, but the atmospheric dispersion was worse. It's no good, I'm going to have to stay up late and wait for it rise properly

The comparison is with a simulation from Mars Previewer II, a worthy tool for deciding what you can see.

Realy nice image mate. I have managed to shoot a couple of AVI's but I can't get K3CCD working. I have a feeling I'm going to have to re-build my PC again

Interesting image, Ian. Please can you submit it and the earlier one to the Gallery before National Astronomy Week? Images of Mars are going to be of particular interest.
