Title: Mikes cascade may challenge
Post by: Rocket Pooch on May 14, 2008, 22:25:36
Hi,

I did this a few nights ago, 3x4 minute subs unguided with an ED80 and AP.67 focal reducer and CLS filter, down to mag 12.8 I think.

Nice image Chris however, I think FOV is smaller than you think - I think you have made an error with your labels. I think that what you have labelled as NGC4479 & 4477 are actually 4461 & 4458 & that M88 is actually NGC4473. See image below from SkyMap. The distance between m86 & m88 is greater than 2 degrees whereas m86 to ngc4473 spans about 1 degree.

Cheers,  John

Nice one Chris. Can we see a non-negative version without the labels as well please.
