Title: NGC 6946
Post by: Fay on Oct 20, 2007, 12:54:47
Not too struck on this image. Too small & overpowered by the stars.
It is called The Firework galaxy as there have been so many supernovae discovered in it.
It is in the constellation of Cepheus. I did do RGB & will have a look at that later. 7 x 600 secs my first image through the WO ZS 66.

Fay,

Both excellent images and the one above i've not even seen or heard of before.
Keep the images coming in as they are enlightening me to galaxies I never knew existed.
One day soon!!!

Thanks tony. I nearly needed binoculars to look at this one!
