Title: Pleiades Occultation..
Post by: JohnP on Feb 23, 2007, 10:22:03
As discussed last night I just checked Skymap pro & occultation of Pleiades by moon should begin around 22:52 GMT - Moon will be about 23deg up in NW direction (so you will need a reasonable horizon) - It carries on through early morning on 24th & should finish just as its setting around 01:40..

Unfortunately, I have a crappy Western horizon from my garden so I probably won't be able to image. Hopefully if it stays clear someone will get a chance - Should be an awesome sight.

Cheers,  John

This seemed a good place for information on what you might see and from where and for how long.
