Title: Vail back in september
Post by: Rocket Pooch on Dec 27, 2006, 23:07:20
Hi,

I forgot I had some raw files of the Vail Nebula taken back in September, but here's a processed image.  I remember taking this because it was really bad that night and the subs did not hold much detail.

The subs we're 3x2 RGB 2x2, and 10x5 min 1x1, it should have been at least twice as long.

Hi Chris,

Nice to see you are quickly back to business with your nice image of The Veil.

I am also back to business, I have bought one of those small tripods for the Canon & am pleased with it. Ideal for taking on holiday etc. I have also ordered a Canon remote &  a DSLR imaging technique disc, the one that John has.

Does this image look too dark?

Chris, who am I, a mere mortal, to say if your Veil is too dark.

I was trying to compare with John's one. It is a bit difficult as John's was taken with his Canon.  Mike has always said that the sky should not be too dark as that is not how it is.

Don't compare with mine - it's really rubbish... I've decided I will try this again next year but with RGB...
