Hi Sally, what's a CME - What am I meant to be looking at....? sorry - I'm a bit ignorant when it comes to the sun...

coronal mass ejection.
The huge big explosions coming from the sun, I'm sure you didn't miss those.

OK - I got it now.... :-) I guess we are lucky it wasn't directed at the earth as who knows what the consequences may have been....
