Title: Comet 73P-B With Digital Camera
Post by: JohnP on May 12, 2006, 18:16:37
Hi,

In addition to M81 last night I also took 10 or so single 1min exposures of the comet using my EOS300D attached to the ZS66. It was nice to have the wider view & one shot colour. Even with the full moon they came out reasonably well. I've attached below the full frame image reduced in size & a centre crop on the comet at full size. I may try stacking the 10 images I have to redce noise or perhaps try making a small animation to show the movement over the 10mins...

Cheers & good luck to all around Mike's tonight if it is clear, John.

Was hoping to get out last night at the Imaging Session to do the comet, but it was cloudy as usual. I hope I can get some pics before it dissapears.
