Post by: psg_dragon on Sep 07, 2005, 19:39:16
I took the following pic while on holiday in Devon @ AstroAdventures. I  used my Nikon coolpix 4500 with a 3min exposure. In the image is : Deneb, Vega & North American Nebula
(http://www.gibbons1701.plus.com/pictures/28-09-05-Milkyway.jpg)

This is the first time I have tried this, or come to think of it seen the milkyway in the UK. The skys were so clear and dark I got lost trying to find my way around the sky  :-?
I hope to bee able to post some deep sky images I took with there Meade DSI.

Hi,

Great Image - Don't all those stars just blow your mind... I know what you mean about finding it hard to navigate all the normal stars you use as signposts seem to disappear into the millions of other stars. Look forward to the LPI images.
