Title: Tonights Observing evening
Post by: Rocket Pooch on Sep 06, 2005, 23:48:17
Well that was fun, I actually managed to remember how to manually find the following: -

M31, M15, M13 (thanks john I could not see the stars for the stars on this one), M27, M57.  Doubles in Lyra.

Also Wild duck (M11?) was found, wow thats an odd thing.

And Mike what were those close doubles.

I really enjoyed this evening.

Yes, excellent observing night - Ooodles of things were seen tonight. The close double doubles were Epsilon Lyra. If they are meant to be a good test of your optics then glad we could see them !

Tony and I even had a look at Neptune (even though it was just a blue dot)!

Great night - just need to dry it all out now as everything is sodden with dew!

Next time i'll bring the laptop and do some imaging.
