Title: Behaviour of popout images in gallery.
Post by: The Thing on Aug 19, 2022, 09:19:21
Rick,

I have noticed when posting images that when you click on an image in the gallery and get the larger size it is a fixed size, you can no longer zoom in to the image. To get the full size version you have to then right click the image and open it in a new tab. I am having to do this to get the URL to post a link to full size versions of images when posting on the forum. Not really a big deal but annoying. Is this changeable behaviour?

As far as I can tell, sadly, not. There seems to be a trend towards displaying images at the size they'll look "best" in the window they've got, wheras the old version just gave you the image whatever. The forum now does something similar, too.

I find myself using "Open image in new window" quite a lot these days...

I have to do the same on other forums, so looks like web making software these days all seem to do the same.
