Title: Thor's helmet HOO twice the data
Post by: Carole on Nov 20, 2018, 14:57:45
I managed to salvage the data from my second camera Atik428EX where I had accidentally left it on 3 x binning and basically increased the resolution in Photoshop so I could combine it with my data from my Atik460EX camera.

The FOV was different which necessitated a rotate and crop.
I think this is now smoother as the imaging time has doubled.

Here is the link to the first thread.

Total data as follows:
20 x 600 Ha
17 x 600 Oiii
Atik 460EX on WOZS71 and Atik428EX on ED80 both with FR x 0.8
HEQ5

Bringing the total imaging time now from 3h 10m to 6h 10m

That doubling of imaging time has made a significant improvement.

It's definitely turning into a long term project.

Thanks Mark.  Not sure when I will get some more as I have some other targets lined up in the same region if I can get to a dark site in the winter which has been the difficulty in previous years.
