Title: Cocoon Nebula full frame and Crop
Post by: Carole on Jul 18, 2018, 11:34:48
My second of 3 targets taken at DSC this last weekend.

Dual rig.  I took more luminance on the WO/314 set up but having a job to find where I filed the subs (Lol), but in any case I have found the stars come out much bigger on the Atik314 in luminance and had a job trying to combine the two lots of data, and decided I would make do with only combining one lot of WO/314 data.

Dual Rig
WOZS71/Atik314L + FR x 0.8 = Luminance 12 x 900
ED80/Atik460EX + FR x 0.8 = LRGB - Lum 9 x 600,
Red & Green 4 x 140 + 3 x 300 binned x 2, Blue 4 x 150 + 2 x 300 binned x 2

Total Luminance = 4.4 hours
Total RGB 1h 10m
Grand Total 5h 40m

This is the full frame:

This is the cropped "close up" - the differing colour suggests I processed each separately.
Edited after seeing Mark's Cocoon.

That's looking excellent!

The colours are good and I love the dark lane in the uncropped version.
