Title: Comet Machholz Reprocessed
Post by: JohnP on Jan 18, 2005, 05:11:00
Hi All,

I wasn't that happy with the previous processing of my comet image as the raw files showed a lot more stars than the final processed image. I was determined to extract more & spent the weekend developing my Photoshop technique for removing skyglow & bringing out the faint stars. Below is the reprocessed image & below that a crop of the Pleiades from the original full size image (you can see how big the files are from the 6.3Mpixel CCD). Anyhow I'm much more pleased with this result.

Cheers,  John.
