I managed to get 2 hours of data on Tuesday night but sky conditions were not that good. I ended up with too much blue haze around Alnilam (the middle star of Orion's belt).
Modified Sony A7S on Tak Epsilon 180ED. 240x30sec exposures.

On the left hand side in the top half I'm still suffering from that annoying horizontal colour banding problem.
Mark
for 2 hrs worth of 30 sec exposures that is unbelievable... So much of the brown dusty stuff... Really nice Mark - Well done, John
Fantastic Mark,
Carole
Really nice Mark, what a lot to stack!
I cant see the banding
Fay
Lovely, did you do this in completely PI?
Wow that is stunning.
Why are the stars not square? Is the sensor large or have you done something?

It's a large sensor 36x24mm. A lot of the stars are still looking square.

Have you seen today's APOD: http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap151216.html
Maybe I should have sent them my one!
Mark

The APOD is a bit leery. Where's my sunglasses?
now I see it on the desktop, very garish and extra haloey!
Mark - I keep telling you to submit your images to APOD - way better than a lot that are posted up..
That's really excellent Mark, I love all the dust to the east.
You should have had a few APODs by now !!
