Title: Comet Catalina Wed 9 Dec
Post by: MarkS on Dec 09, 2015, 06:58:06
Comet Catalina in this morning's murky pre-dawn sky.  Sony A7S on Tak Epsilon. 20x30seconds. Very quickly processed without calibration frames.

In binoculars the fuzzy blob was visible but I couldn't make out the tails.

Nice one, Mark. Great shot ... and those tails....

Excellent! I had the binoculars out, but the sky was rather murky, so while I think I could see the coma, I couldn't see any tails.

That really is very nice - will look excellent when you have had a chance to properly calibrate. Could you get that from the obsy..?

nice capture Mark, I think it looks good without the flat but saw  I saw it on SGL when the misaligned flat had been applied
