Title: M76 from Manche, France
Post by: The Thing on Nov 10, 2015, 19:44:26
Hi guys and gals,

I have just modded a Canon 1100D by taking out the colour correction filter and have taken some comparison shots against my 1000D with a Baader replacement filter.

These are only processed in DeepSkyStacker. I haven't tried to remove gradients etc and have tried to keep the DSS processing the same.

Thanks Mark, certainly very encouraging. I hope to get a lot more data with the 1100D in the next few clear nights.

BTW These were taken with no LP filter while the five local streetlights were on and they are not cropped or reduced in size from the result of the DSS intersection stack.

Nice round stars & excellent colour.. I'm guessing you are liking your new pier... :-)

Thanks, I can't quite believe how round the stars are. At least they're not square like Marks :unwell: :parrot:

The pier is excellent. I need to get a steel top plate made up to finish it properly as it's using a shuttering ply sandwich at the moment (thanks to the builders!).

You don't like my square stars?

It's a lovely little Dumbbell.  As John says, it must be such a luxury having that pier :)

Very nice. Can't wait to see it with more data.
