Title: IC1396 - Elephant's Trunk Nebula

2 pane mosaic of IC1396 taken with H-alpha modified Sony A7S on Takahashi Epsilon 180ED on Sat 22nd August

Each pane is 24x3minute exposures at ISO 2000.

Mark - just showed this image to a couple of people in the office (we actually only have a couple :-) ) & they were both gobsmacked - couldn't believe this was taken from a UK garden.. The colours & sheer amount of stars 'blew' their minds away... It really is a brilliant image given the time it took. I seriously think you should try submitting this to APOD or the like it is way better than a lot of the 'crud' they post & knowing you I bet it's 'astronomically correct'... :-)
